Since January 2017, we’ve covered a wide variety of topics, ranging from serious topics of terrorist attacks and national tragedies, to turning points of election campaigns and policy platforms, to bizarre stories of anthem changes and even a certain Prime Minister capsizing a kayak. Our goal is to cut through bias and sensationalism in the mainstream media. Western Context releases every Sunday, and as soon as our show is released we are on the hunt for next week’s news.
As with most things in life there are costs associated with this podcast. Our costs include yearly web address registration and server hosting. Our costs are modest but every little bit of support from you, the listener, helps us along. Your support will help us maintain our website and provide the time necessary to do the research on our weekly stories.
You can support us in two ways:
First you can become a Patron on our Patreon page at patreon.com/westerncontext. We offer three tiers of support:
- $2/mo – For the price of a cup of coffee you help us remove bias and sensationalism from the news and media.
- $5/mo – For the price of a sandwich you help us remove bias and sensationalism from the media and you can have your name read out on the show (if you want).
- $10/mo – For $10/mo you can become a Western Context insider and gain an insight into our work and gain pre-release access to our production and show notes throughout the week.
Please note all Patreon payments are processed in Canadian dollars.
When we reach $30 per month in contributions Patrons will receive an exclusive monthly news article expanding on topical stories of the month. This article will continue to provide the context and information you’ve come to expect.
At $60 per month you can expect a “news in review” podcast every other month where we reflect on the news of the month in a candid way and provide opinion on where affairs are headed next.
Secondly, if you just want to make a one time contribution you can do that via Paypal. One time contributions are greatly appreciated but do not receive the benefits of becoming a Patreon Patron (insider access, bi-monthly news in review, townhall, etc.)
Regardless of what method of support you choose we are truly humbled by your support and interest in our podcast. We would like to thank you for listening and sharing your time with us each and every week.
